STIHL L 700g Filing Vice is a large, heavy-duty vice that can be easily driven into wood. This makes it ideal for use with chainsaws, as it can be used to securely hold the chainsaw guide bar in place while you are sharpening the chain. The vice is also versatile enough to be used for other sharpening tasks, such as sharpening knives and axes.
How to use the STIHL L700 Filing Vice:
- Secure the vice to a workbench or tree stump.
- Place the chainsaw chain in the vice.
- Use a file to sharpen the teeth of the chainsaw.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all of the teeth on the chainsaw.
Tips:
- Use a file guide to ensure that you are filing the teeth at the correct angle.
- File the teeth in a consistent direction.
- Do not overfile the teeth.
Maintenance:
- Clean the vice with a damp cloth after each use.
- Oil the moving parts of the vice regularly.
