Petzl Am'D Asymmetrical Carabiner – Lightweight & Versatile Connection
The Petzl Am'D Asymmetrical Carabiner is a lightweight and highly versatile aluminium carabiner, making it an essential component for arborists, climbers, and rescue professionals across the UK. Its distinct D shape is specifically designed for optimal connection to a wide range of diverse equipment, including descenders and positioning lanyards.
Engineered for smooth and efficient handling, the Am'D features a fluid interior design that helps prevent snagging. The innovative Keylock system further enhances ease of use by eliminating the traditional hook on the gate, ensuring smooth clipping and unclipping without snagging on ropes or gear.
For enhanced performance and safety, the Am'D carabiner can be used with a CAPTIV positioning bar (sold separately). This accessory helps to favour loading of the carabiner along its major axis, which is its strongest orientation. It also effectively limits the risk of the carabiner flipping during use and helps to keep it integrated with the connected device, ensuring a more stable and secure system.
